Chinese New Year is an important traditional Chinese holiday celebrated at the turn of the Chinese calendar. In China, it is also known as the Spring Festival, the literal translation of the modern Chinese name. Chinese New Year celebrations traditionally run from Chinese New Year's Eve, the last day of the last month of the Chinese calendar, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month, making the festival the longest in the Chinese calendar. Because the Chinese calendar is lunisolar, the Chinese New Year is often referred to as the "Lunar New Year".

Chinese New Year is centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions.  Chinese New Year is celebrated in countries and territories with significant Chinese populations, including Mainland China, Hong Kong,Macau, Taiwan, Singapore,Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mauritius,Philippines and also in Chinatowns elsewhere. Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the lunar new year celebrations of its geographic neighbours.

How heat pump works?

1. The EVAPORATOR collects heat from  the outside ambient air, pre-heated by thesun. Heat pumps high volumes of outside air are drawn into the unit by the fan and expelled through the evaporator fins. The evaporator has liquid refrigerant passing through it, which is at a considerably lower temperature than the ambient air, therefore the air gives its heat to the refrigerant, which then vaporizes. This is pre-heating.

2. The COMPRESSOR where it is compresses and upgraded to a much higher temperature. The hot vapour now enters to the CONDENSER.

3. The CONDENSER where it is surrounded by water from the heating system. The heat is given off to the cooler water and the now cooler refrigerant returns to its former liquid state but still under high pressure from the compressor. This pressure isreleased by passing the liquid through the EXPANSION DEVICE.

4. The EXPANSION DEVICE and from there now at low pressure, it is returned to the evaporator and the cycle starts again.

Since 2005 Wotech has invested big amount on testing chamber every year to ensure its technology to keep pace with international standard. Wotech professional testing center where could provide equipments to test heat pump for SGS. There are 3 enthalpy difference experiment chambers in testing center. 2 with chamber size 20 square meter, able to test up to output 20kw heat pump, 1 with chamber size 42 square meter, able to test up to 50kw heat pumps.

In the testing chamber we can test heat pumps at different ambient temperature from -25~43 degree C and different humidity. This testing chamber also can simulate different ambient conditions, such as artifial snow and rain.

How heat pump works?

1. Cryogen temperature drops to -20℃ after the pressure releases. When ultra-low temperature liquor cryogen enters and flows in absorbing heat evaporator, it meets air about 20℃. Through air heat transfer (the temperature different is 40℃), ultra low cryogen absorbs air heat, its temperature rises to 20℃.

2. Cryogen of 20 enters low temperature compressor, gets pressed, heated up, and turns into high pressure 80℃ air. Discharged from compressor, and then enters heat exchanger.

3.Vaporized cryogen temperature of 80℃ passed heat to low cold water in heat exchanger, changing into 60℃ life used heat water which is pumped into warm keeping tank for storage through circulating pump. High temperature cryogen heat releases and turns into high pressure liquor.

4.High pressure liquor cryogen throttles and lowers pressure through expansion valve, making entering into evaporator to absorb.

5.According to Reserve Carnot Circle Theory, compressor constantly repeatedly circles. The whole course is to transfer heat. As long as it use a kilowatt-hour electricity to drive compressor to work, it can absorb heat in the air equat to that produced by 3-6kh electricity, passing to water. Obviously it save's energy and work safely.

The History of Heat Pump Development

In 1824 French scientist Sadi Karnot firstly proposed the Carnot Cycle Principle, marking the origin of heat pump technology. In 1852 British scientist L. Kelvin raised the idea that the chilling device could be used for heating. He firstly employed Inversed Carnot Cycle to heating. Afterwards, numbers of scientists and engineers studied heat pump, which last as long as 80 years.

In 1912 a set of heat pump using river water as heat source was installed in Swiss as an air heater. From 1940s to 1950s heat pumps had a rapid development. Household heat pumps and commercial heat pumps broke into the market. In 1970s heat pumps faced their golden time. The study of heat pump was taken seriously by the countries. Heat pumps were widely used in the air conditioning field and industrial field. They played an important role in saving energy and protecting the environment.

In the 21 Century, “Energy Crisis” boosted the fuel price. Heat pumps helped relieve the tough situation. It became the most valuable new energy technology.
