The SGS heat pump testing chamber in Wotech

Since 2005 Wotech has invested big amount on testing chamber every year to ensure its technology to keep pace with international standard. Wotech professional testing center where could provide equipments to test heat pump for SGS. There are 3 enthalpy difference experiment chambers in testing center. 2 with chamber size 20 square meter, able to test up to output 20kw heat pump, 1 with chamber size 42 square meter, able to test up to 50kw heat pumps.

In the testing chamber we can test heat pumps at different ambient temperature from -25~43 degree C and different humidity. This testing chamber also can simulate different ambient conditions, such as artifial snow and rain.

Pool heat pump titanium heat exchanger

Here wotech will introduce you our pool heat pump component---titanium heat exchanger, which is produce by wotech subsidiary company. As you can see,  the shell of the heat exchanger is made of PVC plastic which could bare the high pressure  inside and according with the ROSH standard. The coil inside the shell was made of pure titanium material, which is specail design for swimming pool water and anti-corrosion by chlorine.

During the heat pump working, the water will go in from the lower inlet and flow outside the coils which is full of refrigerant and exchange heating, then come out from the upper outlet.

As the manufacturer of the heat exchanger, we could better cotrol the quality for you than others who buy from the suppliers. The quality of the titanium coil and welding is very important and we know the quality inside, the color of the welding can tell the quality, gold is the best, light blue is acceptable, but dark is refused.

How to test the heat pump heat exchanger

Do you know how Wotech test the heat exchanger and how we control the quality for you. Below is the steps.

The first step is water leakage check, our staff will connect the heat exchanger with the water pipe and charge water pressure up to 4 bar to see if water leaks from the PVC shell. We are 100% check on every heat exchanger with 4 bar water pressure and 6 bar as random check on some pieces.

The second step is refrigerant circuit leakage check. Titanium heat exchangers are kept at high pressure of nitrogen inside the coil for 48 hours which can check refreigerant circuit leakage before being assembled, this is 100% check. After 48 hours workers will unscrew the gas valve to check if any gas pressure inside the titanium coil to find the leaks. Those fail will be rejected to suppliers.

After all checking, a round green QC passed sticker wil be put on the heat exchanger to show this is QC passed.

Wotech heat pump performance test

Each heat pump will have to be tested 30 mins for heating and 30 mins for cooling (if there is cooling mode). Water flow will be fixed, sensors will be installed on important positions to check if heat pump performs as designed. All test results will be marked on the unique product ID check list.
